[Case Study] Application to Tire Advanced Development

We would like to introduce a case where Toyo Tire & Rubber Co., Ltd. utilized 'modeFRONTIER' and 'DEP Mesh Works/Morpher' for the advanced development of tires. There are multiple design factors for tires, and understanding their relationships with the human mind is not an easy task. By linking our in-house structural analysis tools with 'DEP Morpher' and 'modeFRONTIER', we can present solution sets that were previously unimaginable to human thinking. By performing various result processing to visualize these, we can make it easier to understand and provide designers with guidance on the design direction. [Case Study] Development of Automotive Exhaust System Products

Input is very easy! Equipped with the "GT-POWER Direct Interface"!

We would like to introduce a case where Hirotech utilized "GT-POWER," "modeFRONTIER," and others in the development of automotive exhaust system products. Back pressure and exhaust sound are in a trade-off relationship, and to achieve a high level of balance between these two, we are conducting studies using optimization technology. To improve analysis accuracy, it is necessary to model and analyze the internal structure in detail; however, in that case, even with 1D "GT-POWER," it takes about 20 minutes of computation time per design. [Case Study] Research on LED Heat Dissipation through Industry-Academia Collaboration

It is possible to evaluate the lifespan of LEDs and optimize considering both their lifespan and the cost of the lighting equipment!

We would like to introduce a case where Kitakyushu City University utilized "FloTHERM," "FloTHERM XT," and "modeFRONTIER" for research on LED heat dissipation through industry-academia collaboration. It is often said that when the temperature of an LED decreases by 10°C, its lifespan can double, indicating a close relationship between heat dissipation performance and the lifespan of LED lighting. Therefore, we evaluated the lifespan of LEDs considering the operating conditions of the floodlights and conducted optimization that took both lifespan and the cost of the lighting equipment into account. [Case Study] Development of a General-Purpose Engine

We would like to introduce a case where Honda R&D utilized 'modeFRONTIER' for the development of a general-purpose engine. In the link design of the multi-link high expansion ratio engine "EXlink," there were challenges related to noise and vibration at that time. Additionally, a colleague at that time was facing the challenge of balancing cooling performance and noise in a centrifugal fan. [Case Study] Optimization of a daylighting device that delivers sunlight to the interior of a room.

It is suitable for confirming whether the shape considered from a human perspective is appropriate or not!

We would like to introduce a case where Taisei Corporation utilized 'modeFRONTIER' for optimizing a daylighting device that delivers sunlight deep into the room. By guiding daylight to the ceiling surface of the room while technically cutting the light that enters the human eye, we analyzed the shape of the daylighting device using the lighting optical evaluation software "Lighting Simulator CAD," ultimately arriving at a shape for which a patent is currently being applied. After completing these tasks, a question remained regarding whether the shape considered by humans was suitable or not, and whether we would need to repeat the trial and error of drawing and analysis for new shape considerations in the future. By utilizing 'modeFRONTIER' and "Lighting Simulator," we were able to confirm the validity of the human-drawn shape with similar shapes.
